I’ve added an interactive map to the Ó Maol Phádraig website.
For now, it is very much a work in progress. I still hope to polish the presentation, improve some of the symbols and layers, and eventually add interactive notes so that individual locations can be clicked for more historical detail.
Even in its present form, though, I think it is useful. Seeing the places together on a map makes some of the geographical patterns much easier to understand than they are from lists of names alone, especially as the Tudor records begin to show the family across a surprisingly wide area.
I’ll continue adding to it as the research progresses, but for now I hope it provides a helpful visual companion to the material already on the site.
